Rules & Guidelines:

To ensure fairness and clarity during the Clean Up Bash, please adhere to the following rules and guidelines:

General Rules:

  1. Event Location and Timing: All participants must clean up trash along the predetermined District 8 route within the time frame specified by the event organizers.
  2. Team Registration: Each team, club, organization, or band must register before the event. Everyone participating must register and sign the waiver.

Garbage Collection Rules: 3. Garbage Bag Requirement: Each team must collect trash using the garbage bags provided by the event organizers. Only trash collected in these bags will be eligible for the competition.

  1. Full Bag Policy: A garbage bag is considered full when it cannot hold additional trash without spilling. Each full bag must be securely closed to count towards the team’s total.
  2. Large Item Handling: Large items not fitting into a garbage bag will be counted separately by weighing them. Proper handling must be ensured to avoid injury or property damage.
  3. Safety and Respect: Participants must prioritize safety, respect private property, and avoid disrupting local activities. Use gloves and appropriate tools as needed.

Competition and Prizes: 7. Weigh-In Procedure: At the end of the event, each team’s full garbage bags will be weighed to determine the total amount of trash collected. Large items will be weighed separately and added to the team’s total.

  1. Cheating Policy: Any form of cheating will result in immediate disqualification.
  2. Winning Criteria: The team that collects the most weight in trash, combining both bagged trash and large items, will be declared the winner. The second and third-highest totals will determine the subsequent places.
  3. Prizes:
  • 1st Place: $400 to support the needs of the winning team, club, organization, or band.
  • 2nd Place: $200 to support the needs of the winning team, club, organization, or band.
  • 3rd Place: $100 to support the needs of the winning team, club, organization, or band.

Environmental Impact: Participants are encouraged to separate recyclable materials if possible, promoting cleanup and recycling efforts.

Final Disposal: The event organizers will oversee the proper disposal of collected trash and recyclables.

These rules are designed to foster a fair, enjoyable, and impactful Clean Up Bash. All participants are urged to uphold the spirit of community service and environmental stewardship throughout the event.

Join us on April 6, 2024, and be a part of creating a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful community for your friends and neighbors.
